This is a new idea for RESIM2022. Displaying posters at an online conference always seems a little strange. The idea of Video Posters is to utilize the technology of the Online meeting to full effect.
A Poster Video is a video clip of a maximum of 2.5 minutes with a further 2.5 minutes available for questions.
The Poster Video should be an MP4 video file with a resolution of at least 1280 x 720. The video should have a sound track. The video should be planned to address the key points of the work just as with a normal poster, but with the additional limitation of time. Probably best to limit the content of each screen and any text. We have provided an example of a Poster Video here.
Video Posters should be sent to resim@ipleiria.pt by WeTransfer before the end of May 2022.
Using a smartphone or a laptop you should find it relatively simple to prepare your video poster.
Example Video
Try to keep the information content down and focus on the key points. We have prepared an example, I am sure you will be able to do better. This example used a powerpoint presentation and Zoom to generate the video. Start a Zoom meeting, share the screen and open the power point slide show. Set the Zoom window to be the presenter view so you image appears on the screen superimposed on the presentation. Start the recording and then start you video presentation. After you have finish stop the recording and close the meeting. Zoom will automatically convert its recordings in to an MP4 file. These will be in /documents/Zoom. Check your poster video and be prepared to make it several times to both perfect the slides and the commentary. Good Luck!!
